BabyQuilt

Joe's friend's wife is having a baby so I wanted to make something for her rather than just go buy something. I found this tutorial for a really cute baby quilt at www.ohfransson.com She gives very clear and easy to follow instructions which made it very simple to make. I left out the giraffe on the front because I did not have anything in my fabric stash to make it out of. Im very pleased with how it turned out and can not wait to give it to them.

T-shirt Quilt

After asking my husband (Joe) if he wanted me to make him a t-shirt quilt he went into the closet and pulled out this pile of shirts.

it was alittle scary making the first cut, seeing as this was the first quilt i've ever made and some of these shirts he has had forever and have special meanings to him. I soon worked up the nerve though and began cutting and kept cutting for 3 hours.

This is where I am now. I have them all pieced and ready to go. Now I just have to decide how I want to quilt it.

Im new to this

where to begin? I've been reading sewing and craft blogs for awhile now and have decided it is time to start my own. I'm not sure how all this works but as soon as I figure it out I will post some of the projects I've been working on.
